So, I’m feeling much better. I’m getting over both my sinus infection and my body image issues (my HMO said I was fat – I took it personally). And as a result, I was able to put together an outfit that I love instead of one that just didn’t make me stabby:
I mean, what’s not to love? Mustard, leopard and pleats? All in one outfit? Yes, please!
For this much loved outfit, I paired my mustard cashmere sweater (thrifted) with my new-to-me pleated skirt (thrifted) and added black and grey herringbone tights and cuffed boots (Gap). At this point, the outfit felt a bit “private school” so I added a leopard-print scarf, tied into a bow, as both a wink and a nod to the private school idea. And it kept me amused all day.
Happy Monday, All!

Adorable from head to toe!

I've been told I'm fat by a doctor too. He actually used the word "chunky". I was just irritated I didn't tell him off! You look fantastic in this, and I think the bit of private school vibe is adorable! You have such cute knees!
ReplyDeleteUm, your HMO said WHAT?! That is ridiculous!!! I'm so enraged on your behalf right now. We could make like 13-year-olds, and TP the office building next weekend when I'm in town. Or we could drive by and glare... and maybe say mean things, too. I'm open to suggestions.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with people being rude lately? You are absolutely beautiful, and no a-hole doctor should make you feel otherwise.
I agree with Kelsey - you're gorgeous & your HMO most certainly not. Ugh!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great outfit, I adore the skirt! Oooh, and the boots! So lovely.
What an adorable outfit! You look great and yeah, not fat at all! "Stabby". LOL
ReplyDeleteOh my god, I loooove the "private school" look. Maybe because I never had to/got to wear a uniform? I may be copycatting you on this idea soon. (You also put me in serious want of a knifepleat skirt...)
ReplyDeleteLOVE, Gracey, seriously. This outfit is put together beautifully and it is very flattering - you look great! I love the pleated skirt (of course!) and the scarf tied in a bow is just too cute!!
ReplyDeleteOHHHHH Fabulous scarf!!!! and I love the pleated skirt!! that skirt would also look awesome with polka dots!!! xoxo J

I agree -- three great things all rolled up in one outfit. How could it fail? It doesn't.

I'm glad you are feeling better. I am really digging this outfit!
ReplyDeleteUm...your HMO totally sucks. But your outfit doesn't! You look lovely - the color of that sweater really suits you.
ReplyDeletei was thinking sexy librarian, but in a very professional, polished non slutty way.
ReplyDeletehating this HMO - why would it call you fat. You are so NOT that! Believe me. You look healthy and cute and not just in this outfit.

I love this outfit. isn't it one of these outfits that every part is a bit too much but all together fit and even look kind of normal. I hope you know what I mean.
